Foxes may look cute, but for anyone who owns rabbits or outdoor pets will probably not agree.  Foxes have a habit of marking their territory and as humans have expanded their towns, foxes have become increasingly attracted to built-up areas due to the amount of food available.  Many people look at foxes and think it is cute to feed them, but in truth they are in fact oversupplied with food as during the night hours they often scavenge for food through bins and gardens.  Of course if they see a cute little rabbit or some chickens it prefers this to the wrapper of a kebab.

It is important to ensure that your pet enclosures and poultry enclosures are fully secured at night.  It is also important to ensure that they are fox-proof.  When it comes to humans, even babies foxes are often very timid.  Some foxes however do carry diseases, so although it is rare to have a disease passed on to a human from a fox, it is not impossible.  So far approximately 2 persons per million are affected by roundworm passed on from foxes.
